Temetra meter reading and surveying
Irish water meter networks have unique aspects when compared
internationally - small, discrete networks rather than centralized
large network, low population density but dense road network, high
percentage of AMR, diverse reading & billing policies.
Temetra's strength is our ability to adapt and offer technical solutions to address these differences. We emphasise connection tagging, photographs, and geo-location for efficient management of your network, and consolidate all networks under one common roof. Using modern development methods and Internet delivery, we can quickly turn around specialized billing requirements.
Over the last six years, we've built up considerable experience, allowing us to offer services such as survey, tagging and meter reading in a way that works with local authorities, and in an Irish context.

More tender success for Temetra
Kilkenny & Waterford, meter management and reading system
Temetra has had more success in competitive tenders for meter management and meter reading systems. We're happy to announce Waterford County Council and Kilkenny County Council as our latest customers, with network reporting, handheld and software all delivered over the web using Temetra.
Kilkenny is a 100% AMR solution, in conjunction with Glan Agua who are installing and commissioning approximately 4,500 meters. Temetra Reader will be used to configure and read the meters.
In Waterford, Temetra will be used to survey and tag the meters already installed and introduce a managed meter reading system for the combined use of billing and water conservation.
Temetra upgrades and new features
Temetra Web Application
The Temetra web application has the usual on-going improvements, available immediately
to all our customers as part of the annual service charge.
- Improved control over Issue Tracker items on Reader handheld
- Additional options in billing to handle external financial changes
- Several improvements to usability, including derived meters and tour merging
- Better use of fixed date readings from AMR transponders
- Improved integration with Issue Tracker
Moved to new data centre
Temetra has moved to a new data centre, giving us improved performance
and increased capacity for future growth. Data has been transferred from the
old data centre, and the disks wiped as we decommission the old servers.
Even with multiple servers, hundred of thousands of photos, and six years of data now stored in our database, the transfer went smoothly, with downtime kept to the planned 30 minutes. For customers relying on Temetra to relay SMS alarms for reservoir levels or high/low flow rates, we just queued them up during the transfer.
