Temetra introduces Windows Mobile based meter reading application

Screenshot 1 Temetra has been developing and field testing new meter reading software for several weeks now, and is delighted to announce a major improvement in meter reading functionality.

The new software runs on any Windows Mobile 2003 or better, giving access to wide variety of handhelds and related hardware like GPRS data cards and GPS receivers. Actaris offer integrated AMR on Psion Workabout Pro, an industrialised hand held computer with colour screen, bluetooth and full keyboard.

Because the software has been developed in Clonmel as part of Temetra, we can now offer customized features for Local Authorities, and optional modules for more specialized features, depending on usage.

Turbidity Alarms

  • Alarms on solids in suspension as indicator of problem
  • In-line measurement of water characteristics is becoming more important to meet EPA requirements, and Temetra can now offer turbidity, chlorine level, colour & UV percentage transmission at very competitive prices. In conjunction with Gero GSM data loggers, these can be used to immediately alert a local caretaker as soon as unusually high levels of solids in suspension or colour are detected.

With daily data transmissions, trending and audited daily monitoring can be offered, even in remote locations.

An Post Barcodes and New Features

  • An Post payment support
  • An Post BillPay is a popular method of payment for utility bills, and Temetra billing can now offer barcoded bills in compliance with An Post guidelines, allowing Temetra-generated bills to be paid at any Post Office.

  • On-going improvements
  • As part of our on-going development of Temetra, we have also added many other features and improvements recently, including:

Additionally, the Agresso synchronization is ready to go live in Kerry and will be available to other Local Authorities shortly aferwards. This will allow edits made in Agresso to be automatically pushed into Temetra.
