Temetra Newsletter June 2005
Monaghan and Leitrim select Temetra
Since the last newsletter in March, counties Monaghan and Leitrim have selected Temetra for their meter reading system. Following the success o\ f Longford's full roll-out and the use by urban district councils, Temetra is now the leading water meter reading system in Ireland.
Temetra's architecture and delivery allows it to be used for in-house projects, or as part of the build and operate phases in a Design Build pr\ oject. From asset management, through meter roll-out and meter reading, all the way to billing in Temetra or uploading to Agresso, Temetra has a prov\ en track record with many features developed specifically to meet the needs of Ireland's local authorities.
Longford has just recently completed it's first bill-run using Temetra, with the invoice line items imported electronically into Agresso, ready\ for cash receipts.
Hardware upgrades complete
Our recent hardware upgrades are now complete, allowing Temetra services to comfortably cope with our increased customer list, improving redund\ ancy and fail-over for major components within Temetra.
Continuous network and functional monitoring mean we are immediately notified should any element of Temetra have a problem. We are now seeing t\ he benefit of consolidating equipment over several customers, allowing us to invest in high quality facilities rather than duplicate in several insta\ llations.
AMR, meter and logger improvements
- Aquadis Plus Meter The Aquadis Plus meter is now available, featuring copper can with mineral glass face, greater resistance to wear, and hydrodynamically balanced pist\ on. This new meter is designed to be more resilient to loaded water and will reduce the cost of ownership over the lifetime of the meter.
- Solar Power for Gero GSM Logger We now offer solar panel as a power option for Gero GSM data loggers. Combined with the latest firmware from Gero, this allows 'always-on' GSM commun\ ications during daylight hours with the possibility to request data updates in the same way that mains powered loggers operate.
