Temetra Newsletter August 2003

Welcome to the Temetra Newsletter August 2003, keeping you up to date with developments in water meters, meter reading and AMR.

Killarney chooses Actaris and Temetra for meter reading solution in UDC

Killarney UDC has chosen Temetra and Actaris EasyRoute to computerise its meter reading to work in conjunction with the roll-out of Agresso for billing in Kerry. Currently a mixed eyeball and Actaris Cyble AMR meter network, it will transition many of the eyeball meters to AMR over time.

The big attractions of Temetra and the EasyRoute hand-held were the establishment of a proper procedure for meter reading, and getting a comprehensive database of all meters on the network, not just those used for billing. Paddy O'Donoghue said "This is a big step forward from the old paper and notebook based readings that was error prone and provided very little information for network management. The full 12 month history available from a single AMR read allows us to map water demand, particularly useful in a town with seasonal peaks. In additon, the billing department can now download the latest readings directly from Temetra as soon as we have completed the reading tour and will effectively eliminate the repeated to and fro normally associated with collection."

Agresso

Agresso is the accrual entries accounting systems installed in many Irish Local Authorities. Temetra can work with Agresso in three different ways, with the aim of direct electronic transfer of information between the two systems.

Temetra can help you with network survey and provide the database infrastructure to gather all meter information about your network. This same database is then used for Agresso integration to your billing meters. For more information about Temetra services, contact Hanley Controls (052) 22722, or email sales\@temetra.com
